rockin’ & rollin’

the great adventure commences in less than 12 hours, but here i am at 10 till 2 writing in my journal. the first ever love of my life brought the time of 10 till 2 to my attention. it seems to pop up a lot. for instance when you randomly look at a clock, it happens to be at 10 till 2 more than it’s share of the time. on saturdays banks are open from 10 till 2. i could go on, but back to the topic here, mainly that neil young can rock. my friend invited me at the last minute to see this neil young concert. i’ve seen him live before, and he’s better than you’d think from listening to him whine on his albums. but not good enough for me to actively buy a ticket to see him again. in spite of that, as well as the fact that i still have a lot to do before embarking, i went because i wanted to hang out with my friend. it wasn’t a typical concert. it was a sort of play done in music (think quadraphenia by the who) called greendale. both the writing and the music were levels above anything neil had ever done before. i’d even put this among the best music i’ve ever heard live (anyone who knows me knows that that’s saying a lot). i loved it so much i bought a really rad t-shirt. you’ll see it soon. but now, a few more things to do, and then sleep.
