where does the road lead?

wells, nevada was the last stop before settlers heading west began the 350 mile trek through the desert to the sierras. we drove from the sierras to wells with the air conditioner on full blast, and in the 110 degree weather, and we were still hot. can you imagine what it must’ve been like for them?

once we made it out of the desert, we had dinner in salt lake city (*** CONTEST *** THE FIRST READER OF MY JOURNAL WHO COMMENTS HERE WITH WHERE WE ATE DINNER IN SALT LAKE CITY WILL GET A REAL PRIZE FROM ME, WHICH I’LL MAIL TO YOU WHEN WE RETURN HOME), saw bears in idaho, spent a day in yellowstone national park, saw mount rushmore, and happened upon a rib fest in minneapolis, minnesota.

here are a few pics…

a real live bear…

here’s a tacky if i could do that i’d never need this yellowstone part of the entry (click at your own risk)

(can’t say i didn’t warn ya)

and as they say…you can pick your presidents, and you can pick your nose, but… well, guess they’re wrong…

and we’re not even 1/2 way done. just you wait and see
