i wonder if amir reads my journal? remember amir? he’s the guy from trader joes that kept me in his line for hours talking about everything from someone’s wedding to hitting tennis balls on the roof. or something like that. go back and check it out if you really care. the thing is, i like amir. i even said, i was in a hurry that day, but it still beats the bogusness at safeway where they call me “mister” and try to pronounce my last name, thinking i must be my father.

speaking of that personal touch, today i got this nice personal letter from the guy who manages my IRA account. ..

I wanted to personally address the recent news that Legg Mason’s brokerage business is being merged into Smith Barney.
